McKenzie, not my hometown, but sure feels like home.  It’s the people that give a town the hometown feeling and the people in McKenzie are the friendliest.  Country folks wave at everyone they meet and that spirit & practice is alive and well in Northwest TN.  We have a population of about 5500 plus Bethel College with record enrollment.  Can’t say enough good about Bethel and the additive to quality of life they bring to McKenzie.  Most of our business is still Ma & Pa, family owned, some for generations.  I could write about all the things we don’t have that the larger cities do, it’s enough to say we’re glad we don’t. 

Every small town in the South has a Magnolia avenue and McKenzie is no different.  So, very pretty in the Spring when the Dogwoods, Redbuds and Azaleas bloom. My favorite time of year, but the Fall can be equally as vibrant.

We are cross-roads of four-lane highways, which means you’re only a short drive to major cities.  Our airport services general & cooperate aviation and is one of the top in the state.

Population Facts: The census of 2000 recorded that Mckenzie, TN had a population of 5,295, while all of Carroll County had a population of 29,475.

Climate Information: In Mckenzie, the overall climate is temperate, with an average termperature of 64 degrees, and an average precipitation of 49.73 inches. Winters here are usually mild, with little of no snowfall.
